Masai Mara Tribe Village, worth it or tourist trap?

Just been reading about this and it seems to be mixed reviews, some people suggesting its a tourist trap whilst others do recommend it. Its optional with our TO, but does does 30$ per person, as well as probably purchasing items from there too. What actually happens here? Tour of the tribe camp? Masai Dance? Thanks
